Who can get an NHS COVID Pass letter?
You can get an NHS COVID Pass letter for travel based on proof of vaccination if you:
- are aged 5 or over
- have received 2 or more doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognised in the UK, and it has been 5 days since your last vaccination dose
Your child from 5 to 11 can also receive an NHS COVID Pass letter for proof of recovery if:
- they have had a positive NHS PCR test for COVID-19 in the past 180 days
You can request an NHS COVID Pass letter for someone else, such as a child or someone you care for, if you have their consent. You should enter their details when completing the form.
How it works
If you have the required COVID-19 records we will send you an NHS COVID Pass letter in a physical format to the address listed on your GP record. You will need to provide:
- either full name or NHS number
- date of birth
- postcode
What will I receive?
You will receive an NHS COVID Pass letter for travel which includes a 2D barcode that is valid for 180 days.
How long will it take to arrive?
The NHS COVID Pass letter takes up to 7 working days to arrive in the post.
